HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team looks to return to the win column this weekend with contests against Great Lakes Valley Conference foes Saint Joseph's and Wisconsin-Parkside.

Both games will be played at Town & Country Sports Complex in Wilder, Ky. NKU will entertain Saint Joseph's on Friday at 5 p.m., while UW-Parkside will visit Wilder on Sunday at noon.

Live stats will be available for both games and Sunday's game can be heard live on nkunorse.com.

The Norse (5-2, 2-2 GLVC) suffered a setback in conference play on Sunday, suffering a 2-1 loss at the hands of Indianapolis after posting a 2-1 win over Ashland in non-conference action.  Danielle Hogue was an offensive force on the weekend, scoring two goals, while Amanda Mason also picked up a goal and an assist.

Ashley Warndorf leads the Norse with five goals and an assist on the season, while Rachael Wood remains strong between the posts with a 0.97 goals against average.

A WORD ABOUT SAINT JOSEPH'S: The Pumas seek their first win of the season, entering Friday's contest at 0-7. The Norse will look to defense the offensive attack of Stephanie Wiethop, who has a goal and an assist on the season. The Norse are 10-2-1 all-time against the Pumas and have never lost to Saint Joseph's at home (6-0-1).

LAST TIME AGAINST SAINT JOSEPH'S: Amie Noll scored in the second minute to account for NKU's only first-half goal in a 10-0 victory over Saint Joseph's. Ashley Warndorf and Hannah Wissel each scored two goals while Brandi Doss added three assists in the contest. It was the first time NKU had scored in double-digits since a 12-0 win over Wheeling Jesuit in 2001.

A WORD ABOUT WISCONSIN-PARKSIDE: The Rangers are off to another stellar start, posting a 5-0-2 overall record and a 4-0-1 mark in GLVC play, and are the No. 20 ranked team in the NCAA Division II national poll. The twin scoring threats of Shannon Becker and Meredith Novak have accounted for six goals each as goalkeeper Cassie Glodowski has allowed just four goals on the season for a 0.54 goals against average. NKU holds the edge in the all-time series, 9-6-1.

LAST TIME AGAINST WISCONSIN-PARKSIDE: The Rangers hold the distinction of being the only team to ever defeat the Norse three times in one season, as the two teams bumped heads in a regular-season matchup as well as matches in the GLVC and NCAA Tournaments. All told the Norse were outscored by a 6-1 margin in the three contests, the last meeting being a 1-0 decision in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

MASON ON A ROLL: Amanda Mason has gotten on the NKU scoresheet in the last four contests, scoring goals against Kentucky Wesleyan, Bellarmine and Ashland and picking up an assist against Indianapolis.

WELL-ROUNDED OFFENSE: Much like last season, the Norse are getting their scoring from all corners. While Ashley Warndorf leads the team with five goals, Amanda Mason and Danielle Hogue each have contributed four goals, and freshman reserve Sarah Smith has added a pair of tallies.
