Ashley Warndorf and
Danielle Hogue each scored goals as the Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team posted a 2-0 victory over Findlay on Sunday.
Warndorf started the scoring in the 15th minute, depositing Hogue's cross into the back of the net for her fifth goal of the season. Warndorf, a senior and a graduate of Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati, tied a school record last weekend with four goals against Concord (W.Va.).
Warndorf returned the favor to her teammate in the 34th minute, crossing a ball into the box for Hogue to net her second goal of the season.
Rachael Wood and
Stephanie Glass made three saves each to combine for NKU's first shutout of the season. NKU improved to 2-1, while Findlay fell to 0-2.
NKU returns to action on Friday in a Great Lakes Valley Conference contest at Kentucky Wesleyan. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Eastern time from Owensboro, Ky.
