GLVC/GLIAC CROSSOVER SCHEDULE
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University volleyball team competes in the annual Great Lakes Valley Conference/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover tournament this Friday and Saturday at Aurora, Ill.
NKU, which is 14-8 overall, is the No. 4 seed from the GLVC. The Norse will meet Ashland (11-6) and Grand Valley State (11-5) on Friday, and conclude the event Saturday by playing Hillsdale (15-1).
Grand Valley State is ranked 25th nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, and Hillsdale is ranked 12th nationally. Ashland, Grand Valley State and Hillsdale are members of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
NKU is 15-6 all-time against Ashland, and the Norse own a 4-1 all-time record against Hillsdale. NKU knocked off Hillsdale last year at the regional crossover tournament with a four-set victory against the Chargers. NKU has beaten Hillsdale two straight times, both on neutral courts.
NKU is 4-20 all-time against Grand Valley State. The Norse have not defeated the Lakers since 2003.

Jenna Schreiver leads the GLVC in assists at 11.01. NKU's offense is No. 1 in the GLVC with a .264 hitting percentage.
A YEAR AGO AT THE CROSSOVER: NKU dropped matches against Wayne State (Mich.) and Saginaw Valley State before defeating Hillsdale. In the victory against Hillsdale, NKU won by scores of 27-25, 25-17, 20-25, 25-21. The Norse hit .252 and served up nine aces to defeat the Chargers in that match.
Two years ago, NKU lost to Northern Michigan and Grand Valley State before knocking off Saginaw Valley State to conclude the event.
DIG PINK PROMOTION: NKU will hold its second annual Dig Pink promotion on Oct. 22 when Indianapolis visits Regents Hall. The Dig Pink promotion is to help raise money for breast cancer awareness, and breast cancer survivors are invited to attend the match that evening.
