Berman wins his fifth straight to lead NKU men's tennis to 7-2 win over Tiffin

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Northern Kentucky University's Guillaume Berman picked up his fifth consecutive singles victory en route to a 7-2 win over Tiffin on Wednesday.

The win levels NKU's record at 3-3 on the season.

Berman defeated Tiffin's Harry Smith in the No. 2 flight, 6-2, 6-1, after teaming with Lance Koetter to take the No. 1 doubles match against Luiz Carvalho and Preston Torbet, 8-4.

Ricardo Weaver provided some drama in the No. 3 singles flight, storming back from down 9-2 in the super tiebreaker to post an 11-9 victory over Torbet.  Weaver is now 3-3 in singles play this season.

Koetter and Tyler Fraser added singles victories for the Norse.

NKU concludes its Spring Break matches on Thursday against Young Harris.
