SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team defeated Quincy and Rockhurst on Friday to advance to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament championship match.

NKU swept Quincy, 5-0, before defeating Rockhurst, 5-2.  The Norse (11-4) now advance to take on tournament host Drury in the final.  NKU suffered a narrow 6-3 defeat at the hands of Drury in the season opener.

All-GLVC honoree Stephanie Isaacs took four wins on the day, two each in singles and doubles play, to lead the Norse to victory.  Kristen Sunday got NKU's only other singles victory over Quincy as the match ended after the decisive fifth point was won.

Michelle Schirmann and Jenny Hand also picked up singles victories in the Rockhurst match.

The Norse won five of their six doubles matches on the day as well, with Hand joining Holly Robinson for a pair of wins in the No. 3 doubles flight, while Isaacs and Jillian Sturgeon teamed for two match victories in the No. 2 flight.

Saturday's championship match is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Eastern.
