The NKU volleyball team dropped a three-set decision at Southern Indiana.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Britanni Oliver and Danielle LaGrange each recorded 11 kills to lead the University of Southern Indiana volleyball team to a 25-20, 28-26, 25-20 win against Northern Kentucky University on Friday night.
Oliver also hit .500 and added three blocks for Southern Indiana, which improved to 6-3 overall, 1-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. LaGrange attacked at a .429 clip for the Screaming Eagles, who hit .347 as a team.
Noelle Peterson finished with 14 kills to lead NKU, which dropped to 5-6 overall, 0-1 in the GLVC.
Shelby Buschur added 10 kills for the Norse, while teammate
Kelly Morrissey collected eight kills and hit .333.
NKU attacked at a .214 clip as a team. The Norse held set point in the second stanza at 26-25, but Southern Indiana rallied to score the final three points and grab a 2-0 lead.
Southern Indiana then hit .452 in the third set to wrap up the sweep and defeat NKU in a regular-season match for the first time since 2004.
NKU concludes the GLVC road trip Saturday with a 3 p.m. match at Kentucky Wesleyan.
