The NKU women's soccer team held Saint Joseph's to just three shots Sunday.

Kristi Hofmeyer scored a goal at the 76:26 mark off an assist from
Amanda Mason to give the Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory at Saint Joseph's on Sunday.
NKU, which is ranked No. 5 nationally in the NCAA Division II poll, improved to 6-1-1 overall, 5-1 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Saint Joseph's dropped to 1-7-1 overall, 1-6 in the GLVC.
NKU finished with a 17-3 advantage in shots, but the Norse were unable to find the back of the net until Hofmeyer tapped a shot past Saint Joseph's goalie Sarah Croskrey. Mason's pass set up the winning shot by Hofmeyer, who has two goals this season.

Rachael Wood collected the shutout and had one save. NKU now holds a 12-2-1 all-time record against Saint Joseph's.
NKU plays host to Illinois-Springfield on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
