Ricardo Weaver claimed victories in singles and doubles play to help the Norse to a 5-4 win over Wingate.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team used its depth to pick up a 5-4 victory over Wingate on Sunday.
The win pushed the Norse to 3-2 on the season.
The Norse struggled in the upper tiers of doubles and singles play, dropping the No. 1 doubles match, 8-6, and falling in each of the top three singles flights.
However, NKU's depth shone through, as
Pierce Kohls and
Tyler Fraser rallied for an 8-4 win in the No. 2 doubles while
Andre Correa and
Ricardo Weaver posted an 8-6 victory in the No. 3 doubles flight.
Kohls, Fraser and Weaver also posted singles victories to give the Norse the team victory. Fraser's win at No. 5 singles came in a 10-2 super tiebreaker after winning the first set, 6-4, and dropping the second, 2-6.
NKU continues its Spring Break play on Tuesday against Millersville.
