HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Northern Kentucky University tennis teams each claimed victory in Tuesday's action, with the men defeating Malone by a 9-0 victory and the women edging out West Liberty, 5-4.
On the men's side, the Norse (4-2) scarcely dropped a game in straight-set victories across the board.
Tyler Fraser won his fourth consecutive singles match and improved his individual record to 5-1 with a shutout victory over Malone's Andrew Rearick.
Pierce Kohls got his team-best seventh singles victory with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Alex Steinmetz.
For the women it was depth that saw the Norse (2-1) through, as wins in the bottom two doubles and bottom three singles flights to claim the victory.

Jillian Sturgeon and
Holly Robinson each took victories in singles play. Hand teamed with Sturgeon to pick up an 8-2 victory over West Liberty's Moleigh Poling and Kayla Saunders, while Robinson joined
Marta Romeo in an 8-1 win over Raissa Wischi and Sarah Howells.
The NKU women return to action on Wednesday against regional foe Ashland. The men take a day off before wrapping up their Spring Break trip against Millersville.
