HARROGATE, Tenn. –
Brett Cisper collected two runs and an RBI in Game 2 of a doubleheader against Lincoln Memorial as the Northern Kentucky University baseball team picked up a 5-2 victory on Tuesday.
Cisper helped get NKU on the scoreboard in the first inning. He led the inning off by being hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a wild pitch by Austin Pittman. A
Bradley Vanderglas single brought Cisper home for the early lead.
The Railsplitters brought in Justin King to replace Pittman in the second inning after he walked
Cody Cooper. The Norse again took advantage of a wild pitch, which advanced Cooper to third base.
Stevie Gipson-Eberhardt singled, driving home Cooper to give the Norse a 2-0 advantage.
Lincoln Memorial scored once in the bottom of the second and again in the fourth to tie the game.
NKU used a two-run fifth inning to seal the victory. Cisper doubled to spark the Norse offense, followed by
Caleb Lonkard drawing a walk.
Brad Clement reached base on an error by Kyle Asher, which advanced Cisper home.
Phil Smith walked to load to the bases, and Lonkard scored on the next play.
A sacrifice fly by Cisper in the sixth inning brought home
Josh Myers to score the final run for NKU, which improved to 1-3 with the win.
Drew Campbell picked up the victory for the Norse. He surrendered three hits and two runs in four innings on the mound.

The win earned the Norse a split of the doubleheader after dropping an 8-5 decision in the first game.
Both teams started off hot in Game 1, collecting three runs each in the first inning. However, Lincoln Memorial added three more runs in the second inning to secure the win.
Patrick Hyde went 2-for-3 with an RBI to lead the Norse offense.
NKU will travel to Carrollton, Ga., this weekend for a series against West Georgia. The two teams will play a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will play a single game at noon on Sunday.
