The NKU golf teams will play their home tournaments at Pendleton Country Club thanks to a three-year agreement between the parties.
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University athletics department has reached a three-year agreement to make Pendleton Country Club the home course for Norse men's and women's golf.
The course, located in Butler, Ky., has been home to the NKU Spring Invitational men's golf tournament for the last three years. Last season, NKU claimed a share of second place in the event with a team score of 5-under-par (280-291—571).
The agreement give NKU a new home as the program reclassifies to NCAA Division I to compete as full members of the Atlantic Sun Conference. The teams will enjoy locker rooms at the club and will host their opponents at the club's 6,600 yard, par-72 course through the area's gentle rolling land.
“Pendleton Country Club is a very good golf course, it's a good test of skill,” said NKU golf head coach
Daryl Landrum. “The course is always in good shape and has very good greens with lots of undulation. Practicing and playing every day at Pendleton won't do anything other than make us better as we move on to Division I.”
In addition to hosting all NKU men's and women's golf home events, NKU staff and alumni will enjoy discounted first-year dues and initiation fees. Also, current NKU students will be afforded membership opportunities at greatly reduced rates. For details, contact

The 2012-13 NKU golf season will begin in September.
