WARM CLIMATE, COLD SHOOTING: NKU closed out its Florida trip Monday night by shooting 25.5 percent from the field during a 62-39 loss at Stetson. The Norse were held to just 16 points in the second half.
The 39-point effort against Stetson was the second-lowest total of the season for NKU. In the season-opening game on Nov. 9, Cincinnati posted a 49-31 win over the Norse.
PROTECT THE BASKETBALL: Stetson finished with a 28-6 advantage in points off turnovers. The Hatters forced NKU into 22 turnovers and also blocked nine shots.
HALF THE FUN: NKU is unbeaten (6-0) when leading at halftime this season. The Norse are 0-10 when trailing at the break.
In the loss at Stetson on Monday, NKU owned a 20-13 lead late in the first half. The Hatters, though, scored the next 11 points to take a 24-20 advantage and eventually went to the locker room with a 24-23 edge.
