MIROMAR LAKES, Fla. - Northern Kentucky University men's golfer Clayton Portz shot a final-round 70 on Monday to earn third-place honors with a total of 210 at the Cobra/PUMA Invitational.

Portz's 54-hole score at the par-72 Miromar Lakes Golf Club helped Northern Kentucky (307-291-303 901) take 10th place in the 13-team field. Portz carded rounds of 73-67 during Sunday's opening day of action. He finished six strokes behind both Ryan McCormick (204) of St. John's and Edward Figueroa (204) of Florida Gulf Coast.

Florida Gulf Coast won the team title for the third straight year with a score of 855, followed by runner-up Florida Atlantic with a total of 868.

Northern Kentucky's Phoenix Ramsey tied for 22nd place with a score of 221, while teammate Corey Richmond tied for 50th place with a 230. The Norse's Matthew Wetherill finished 67th with a score of 240, while Michael Schmidt totaled 246 and tied for 73rd place. 

The Norse closed out their fall schedule with the Cobra/PUMA Invitational and will return to action in March.
