HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky hits the road for New Orleans, La., and a game at Tulane on Saturday night at 10 p.m. Eastern time.
This game is part of the Cure UCD Classic, a five-team tournament. Northern Kentucky meets Tulane on Saturday before finishing the tournament next weekend in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, with games against Southeast Missouri State (Nov. 29) and Texas State (Nov. 30).
IN CAJUN COUNTRY: Northern Kentucky has played just one other time in Louisiana, that being on Dec. 16, 1974, when the Norse dropped a 97-94 decision to then-Division II powerhouse New Orleans.
Warren Booker and Wilbur Holland combined for 52 points as New Orleans rallied late in the second half to defeat the Norse. Booker scored 29 points and Holland added 23 for the Privateers. Ken Noll netted 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Northern Kentucky.
JOIN THE CLUB: Going into Saturday, the combined record of Northern Kentucky's first four opponents is 15-2 (.882 winning percentage). Two of the teams (Purdue and San Diego) are unbeaten, while Kentucky and Morehead State are both 4-1.
EAGLES RALLY PAST NORSE: Angelo Warner scored 15 of his 25 points in the second half Tuesday night as Morehead State rallied for a 74-61 win over Northern Kentucky in The Bank of Kentucky Center. Warner also grabbed nine rebounds and dished out three assists for the Eagles, who used a 14-0 run early in the second half to turn a 39-35 deficit into a 49-39 advantage.
Northern Kentucky sliced the Morehead State lead to 56-52 with 7:10 remaining when
Dean Danos converted two free throws, but the Eagles responded with an 11-0 run to extend their advantage to 67-52 on a dunk by Warner with 3:20 remaining. Danos scored a career-high 13 points to lead the Norse, who committed 21 turnovers and shot 38.3 percent from the field.

Deontae Cole scored a career-high nine points in the loss to Morehead State, while classmate
Cole Murray netted a career-best seven points. Murray also grabbed a career-high five rebounds against Morehead State.

Jake Giesler is fourth in the Atlantic Sun Conference in rebounding at 7.5 boards per game. He is No. 1 in offensive rebounds per game at 5.0.
