Men's track sees final indoor tune-up at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Northern Kentucky University men's track & field team competed in their last meet of the season before the conference championships this past weekend at Indiana University.

J.J. Webber shined at the Hoosier Hills Invitational by finishing third and setting a personal best in the 3000-meter. His time of 8:34.40 beat out his personal best in the event by 0.35 seconds, which was set at the Gladstein Invitational. Brendan Chwalek finished in behind Webber in 10th with a 8:38.22.

Senior Ricky Harm set a personal best in the 3000-meter with a time of 8:48.61. He improved by 8.93 seconds over his own record which was set at the SPIRE Midwest Open last month.

The distance medley relay team of Tyler Mowrey, Eric Tomczewski, Matt Kincaid, and Matt Kuhn finished seventh with a time of 10:54.82. It was the best overall time for Mowrey, Tomczewski, and Kuhn when they have competed in the DMR.

The Hoosier Hills Invitational was the last chance for the Norse to compete before the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships on February 22nd in Johnson City, Tenn.
