DAYTON, Ohio - The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team opened its season by dropping a 7-0 decision on Sunday against Wright State.

Alex Bastock, Taylor Hines and Liz Steingass of Wright State (2-2) each closed out their straight-set victories with 6-0 second-set wins.

In doubles, the Norse (0-1) struggled to keep up, leaving the final for all three matches at 8 to 1 for Wright State.

The Norse women will host Western Kentucky on Saturday, February 16 at Five Season Sports Club in Crestview Hills.
