COOKEVILLE, Tenn. – Even a 30-minute power outage could not stop the Tennessee Tech baseball team from scoring two runs in the fifth inning to regain the lead, and the Golden Eagles cruised to a 13-2 victory over Northern Kentucky University at Bush Stadium on Tuesday evening.
Tennessee Tech (9-6) scored one run before the interruption and added 10 more after the break, including an eight-run eighth inning, to seal the win.
The Norse struck in the first inning to take an early 1-0 advantage.
Hunter Morey started the game with a single up the middle but was picked off for the first out.

A sacrifice fly by

Tennessee Tech added a run in the next two innings to take a 2-1 lead, but the Norse evened the game in the top of the fourth. Clement began the inning with a single up the middle to extend his on-base streak to 15 games. He advanced to third on a single by
Cody Kuzniczci and scored when
Josh Myers singled to right field for the final NKU run of the game.
Brandon Thomasson went 4-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs to lead the Tennessee Tech offense, while Austin Wulf finished 3-for-6 with three RBIs and a run scored.
