CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team came up on the short side of a close-fought battle against nationally ranked North Florida, with UNF claiming a 6-1 victory in Atlantic Sun Conference action.

The match started with three highly competitive doubles matches all going to UNF (13-7, 7-0 A-Sun), despite NKU holding leads in the No. 1 and No. 3 flights.

The Norse (3-16, 0-7 A-Sun) played tight matches in all six singles flights, with three of them going to a third set.  Jody Maginley claimed his first victory in A-Sun play, coming back from being down a set to defeat Timo Kranz in a 10-8 third-set super tiebreaker.
