1• NKU is 7-10 overall after dropping a 73-64 decision at USC Upstate on Thursday. The Norse, who watched their three-game winning streak end, are 3-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
2• USC Upstate placed five players in double figures and won the battle of the boards by a 38-25 count.

NKU PLAYS AT ETSU: Northern Kentucky concludes its two-game road trip Saturday with a 4 p.m. contest at East Tennessee State. The Norse are 7-10 overall, 3-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
East Tennessee State is 8-8 overall, 1-2 in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
NKU/USCU RECAP: Ricardo Glenn and Torrey Craig each recorded double-doubles to lead USC Upstate to a 73-64 victory over Northern Kentucky on Thursday night in Spartanburg, S.C.
Glenn finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Craig added 11 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. USC Upstate (8-8 overall, 1-2 Atlantic Sun Conference) shot 53.1 percent from the field and used a decisive 17-5 run in the second half to turn a 41-39 deficit into a 56-46 lead when Glenn converted a basket inside.
The Spartans placed five players in double figures and won the battle of the boards by a 38-25 count. USC Upstate's Fred Miller and Ty Greene each netted 13 points, while teammate Jodd Maxey scored 11.
Tyler White poured in 17 points for Northern Kentucky. The Norse were held to 26.9 percent shooting from the field in the second half and finished at 38.9 percent for the game.
Jordan Jackson added 15 points and five rebounds for the Norse, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
Daniel Camps added eight points off the bench for Northern Kentucky, which was outscored 41-22 in the paint.
Todd Johnson finished with seven points, four assists and two steals.

Jalen Billups each scored six points for the Norse, who limited USC Upstate to 2-for-11 shooting (18.2 percent) from 3-point range.
USC Upstate is now 2-1 all-time against Northern Kentucky.

THE LAST TIME AGAINST ETSU: On Jan. 31, 2013,
Eshaunte Jones poured in 25 points, including a 3-pointer while being fouled with 26.7 seconds left in the game, as Northern Kentucky University held on for a 70-68 victory at East Tennessee State.
Jones made a career-high seven 3-pointers for Northern Kentucky. His final trey, which banked in after he was fouled taking the shot from the left wing, resulted in a four-point play that extended a 66-65 Norse lead to 70-65.
Rashawn Rembert buried a 3-pointer with 19 seconds left to cut the Northern Kentucky lead to 70-68. After a Norse turnover with 10 seconds left, East Tennessee State had a final chance to tie or win, but Jarvis Jones missed a driving layup, and Northern Kentucky's Stretch Watson pulled down the rebound as time expired.
The Norse drained five consecutive 3-point shots early in the second half as part of an 18-7 run that turned a 31-28 deficit at the break into a 46-38 lead with 12:31 remaining in the game.
Jack Flournoy knocked down a trio of 3-pointers to ignite the Norse second-half spurt.
