About Indiana State
The Sycamores opened their season on Friday with an 85-65 loss to Central Michigan. Cierra Ceazer and Joyea Marshall each posted a team-high 14 points while Regan Wentland added nine off the bench. Marshall's six rebounds and five blocks were also team highs. The Sycamores got hot from long range late in the game, firing at 50 percent (8-for-16) from the arc in the second half.

Off to a Good Start
Christine Roush's 24 points against Miami was keyed by a strong start in the first quarter, in which Roush picked up 13 of NKU's 23 points. Roush connected on each of her first three shots from the field, including a trey, and sank six of seven free throws in the span as well.

Roush's effort was just short of her career high of 29 points, which she reached against Marquette on Dec. 15, 2014. The Norse will take on Marquette at home on Saturday, Nov. 21, as a part of a doubleheader day with the men's team, which faces Morehead State that evening.

Turning the tables
NKU's defense against Miami was stifling, forcing 22 turnovers over the course of the game. NKU was strong in taking advantage of those opportunities as well, turning those 22 turnovers into 22 points, scoring on 10 of those turnover opportunities.
