MILWAUKEE, Wis.- The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team (8-6-4, 4-2-3 Horizon League) fell 4-0 at Milwaukee (5-11-3, 2-5-2 Horizon League) in a League tilt to close-out the regular season on Friday. The Norse finished their inaugural run in the Horizon League earning the No. 3 seed in the Men's Championship set to begin on Monday.
The Panthers struck first in the opening frame when Declan Rodriguez found the net in the 13th-minute with an assist by Jason Svensson and Aaron Horvat. Rodriguez took the service from the left and headed it in to give Milwaukee the 1-0 advantage.
Three minutes later, Francesco Saporito added to the Panther lead. Following a Panther corner kick that was initially cleared, Saporito finshed with a one-touch from the top of the box pushing the Milwaukee lead to 2-0.
The Norse fired two shots in the first half.
Bastian Beckers fired a shot in the 27
th minute but had it blocked.
Ronald Moss followed in the 31
st minute with a header but the shot went high.
In the second half, the Panthers extended their lead to 4-0 when Rodriguez netted his second goal of the night in the 46
th minute and Peter Raymonds found the net in the 79
th minute.
Northern Kentucky took eight shots in the second half.

Diego Martinez all took shots with Martinez and Perez each placing one shots on goal.
The Norse finished the regular-season with 15 points in the League standings, earning the No. 3 seed for the Horizon League Men's Championship. Northern Kentucky will host at quarterfinal match against sixth seeded Wright State on Monday at the NKU Soccer Stadium with kickoff set for 7 p.m.

Norse Notes- This marks the second year in a row the Norse have qualified for their conference tournament.
- It has only taken the Norse two years to earn a home postseason match since becoming eligible for conference championships just last year.
