HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- The Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team (3-2-0) travels to Dayton on Friday with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Baujan Field. About the FlyersDayton enters the match 3-3-0 on the season following a 2-0 loss to Horizon League member Oakland on Sept. 12 at home. Head coach Dennis Currier is 103-65-29 (10 years) at the helm for the Flyers and holds an overall career record of 292-114-41 (22 years). In 2014, the Flyers finished 7-7-5 overall and 3-3-2 Atlantic-10 play to finish sixth in the conference standings.
Against the A-10This will be the second meeting all-time between NKU and Dayton, with Dayton winning the first and only match between the two, 3-1, Oct. 7, 1987. The Norse are 0-3 all-time against teams from the A-10 Conference.
Two for AddaiIn NKU's last outing, senior
Yaw Addai scored two goals in the Norse's 2-0 win over IPFW. It was the first multi-goal match for any Norse this season. The last time a Norse recorded a multi-goal game was on Sept. 23, 2014 when
Kobie Qualah and Cain McDonald each recorded two goals in NKU's 4-3 overtime win over Wright State.
Fleak earns back-to-back player of the week honorsSenior Northern Kentucky University men' soccer goalkeeper
A.J. Fleak earned Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second week in a row, the league office announced on Monday. In week three of the season, Fleak shutout IPFW, hauling in five saves on 21 shots faced. The shutout was Fleak's third of the season and his third in four matches. The clean sheet was the 13th of his career as a Norse moving him into a tie for third all-time in program history with Nate Madden (2001-04) and Jeb Snyder (1990-93).

Yaw Addai scored two goals as NKU downed IPFW 2-0 on Sunday, Sept. 13. After a scoreless first frame, Addai broke up the stalemate in the 73
rd minute netting what proved to be the game-winner with an assist by
Diego Martinez. Martinez played the ball across the box with Addai beating the keeper on the right post to give NKU the 1-0 advantage. In the 88
th minute, Addai scored his second goal of the match, this time unassisted. On a breakaway following a deflection, Addai took on IPFW goalkeeper Raphael Kotzock one-on-one, finishing to the left post pushing the NKU lead to the final score of 2-0.
Conference play on the horizonFollowing their match with Dayton on Friday, the Norse will return to action on Tuesday, Sept. 22, in their first-ever Horizon League match in a road contest with regional-rival Wright State University. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Rinzler Student Sports Complex.
