Norse suffer second-half stumble to Bowling Green

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's soccer returned home on Tuesday to take on Bowling Green, a week after dropping a non-conference match to Dayton. The Norse struck early, as Bennett Gerak played a quick corner to Carlos Mercé, who buried a shot from the top corner of the box to put the Norse ahead. NKU took a one-nil lead into halftime, but momentum started to shift in favor of the Falcons, who eventually scored in the 74th and 80th minutes to take one on the road from the Norse.
