@NKUNorseWBB wraps weekend at Youngstown State

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's basketball team concludes its weekend road trip with a Horizon League matinee at Youngstown State. Saturday's tipoff from the Beeghly Center is set for 1 p.m., with the action carried live on ESPN3.

About Youngstown State
The Penguins are a part of a log jam at second place in the Horizon League, sporting a 5-3 conference record to go wiith a 14-5 overall mark after taking a three-point victory over Wright State on Thursday night.
 
Sarah Cash leads the Penguins' offense with 15.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, shooting 63.2 percent from the field. As a unit, Youngstown makes more treys than any other Horizon League squad, averaging 8.7 makes per game. Nikki Arbanas leads the outside attack, averaging 11.1 points per game.
 
The Series
NKU and Youngstown State split nonconference meetings in back-to-back years as NKU began its transition to Division I. The Penguins represented NKU's first Division I victory, as the Norse took a 66-64 win at home on Nov. 27, 2012. The Penguins responded the following season with a 67-53 victory at the Beeghly Center to level the series.
