Hot-shooting Panthers hand @NKUNorseWBB second League loss

MILWAUKEE – Northern Kentucky women's basketball fell against its second Horizon League opponent, dropping a 72-44 decision on the road to Milwaukee. The Norse fall to 4-10 overall and 0-2 in League play, while the Panthers advance to 9-4 (1-1 HL).
 
Stat Leaders
  • Junior forward Kasey Uetrecht was the only Norse to score in double figures with 19 points.
  • Freshman forward Hayley Combs was the second highest scorer for the Norse with seven points in 11 minutes after going 5-of-8 from the free throw line.
  • Junior guard Mikayla Terry led the team in rebounding with seven boards and tied redshirt-freshman guard Taryn Taugher and senior guard Kelley Wiegman as the team's assist leader, all with two dishes.
 
First Half Summary
  • Milwaukee shot 53.3 percent from the field while holding the Norse to 27.3 percent.
  • The Panthers connected on seven 3-pointers, including five at a blistering .714 clip in the second quarter. Conversely, the Norse were able to muster just one field goal for the second period.
