BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball dropped a road contest on Thursday night to Indiana, falling to the Hoosiers by way of a 100-49 decision. With the loss, the Norse drop to 2-6 on the season, while Indiana advances to 6-3.
Stat Leaders
- Redshirt-senior forward Rebecca Lyttle led the team in scoring with 12 points and also snatched a team-best two steals.
- Freshman forward Hayley Combs recorded double-digit figures for the first time in her career, with 10 points.
- Junior guard Mikayla Terry led the team on the boards with seven rebounds and added a team-best four assists.
First Half Summary
- Indiana opened up the game with a 25-0 run before Terry scored on a putback at the 4:02 mark of the first quarter.
- The Hoosiers held a 35-5 advantage at the close of the first quarter, which are more points than an opponent has scored in a half, let alone a quarter.
- Indiana shot 68.2 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from 3-point range in the opening stanza.

Norse Notes
- NKU has not allowed 100 points in a game since Dec. 1, 2011, when the Norse picked up a 106-101 overtime win over Saint Joseph's.
- Despite the setback, NKU recorded a season-low 12 turnovers.
- The Hoosiers shot 60.6 percent for the contest, while the Norse shot 33.9 percent. It marks the first time this season that a team has shot over 60 percent from the field against NKU. Indiana was also strong from 3-point range, going 7-of-12 from beyond the arc for a .583 clip.
- The Norse were bested in every statistical category, most notably in rebounds (49-22) and points in paint (64-22).
- Indiana now leads the all-time series with the Norse, 3-2.
