• Northern Kentucky has now won five of its last six games, while also proving to be a tough out on the road this year, posting a 4-2 record away from BB&T Arena with all four wins coming during NKU's aforementioned hot streak.
• The Norse have established themselves as one of the top rebounding teams in the nation, winning the rebounding battle in eight of nine games to earn a ranking of 21st in rebounding margin at +8.3 and 47th in total rebounds per game (40.4).
• NKU's prowess on the boards has kept its opponents to an offensive rebounding percentage of 24.6 percent (33rd in the nation according to KenPom.com), meaning Northern Kentucky has owned its defensive boards and kept opponents off the offensive glass.
• NKU has improved on taking care of the ball since the opening weekend. NKU averaged 19 turnovers through the first two games, but that average has dipped to 12.4 in the last seven outings.
• F Drew McDonald was named Horizon League Co-Player of the Week after a 32-point, 11-rebound outburst at Morehead State and averages of 25 points and nine rebounds per game in two road wins last week. He leads NKU at 20.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game.
• G Lavone Holland II has taken over Northern Kentucky's last two games in the final stretch. He has scored 12 of NKU's last 14 points in both contests.
• Holland posted 28 points thanks to 6-for-10 three-point shooting in the EIU win and is now averaging 16 ppg.
• G Cole Murray has reached double-figures in three of the last five games for the Norse. After starting the year 3-of-13 (23.1%) from three in the first three games, he has converted 20-of-47 attempts (42.5%) in the last six.
• F Jeff Garrett found his stride once again versus Eastern Illinois. He scored eight points and hauled in eight boards. It's the fourth time he's recorded eight rebounds or more in a game this year.
• F Carson Williams ignited NKU's decisive run in the second-half against EIU with a coast-to-coast basket to put the Norse back in front for good.
