HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Despite goals from
Johannes Jansen and
Kobie Qualah on Saturday night, the Northern Kentucky University men's soccer team fell to Milwaukee, 3-2, in NKU's Horizon League home opener at NKU Soccer Stadium.
"We started playing in the second half, went down a couple goals, and scored to get back in it. I think it's just a sign of inexperience at times with some of the young players we have, but it's a process that they have to go through to learn how to finish off some games," said head coach
John Basalyga.
With the result, the Norse dip to 0-6-1 overall and 0-2-0 in the Horizon League while Milwaukee improves to 2-3-1 including 1-1-0 in the HL.
