HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky softball won the final game of the series against Cleveland State, 4-2, avoiding a sweep by the Vikings. With the win, NKU moves to 13-31 overall and 7-11 in Horizon League play, while CSU drops to 6-37 (2-13 HL).
At the Plate
- Cleveland State tallied more hits than NKU, 8-6.
- NKU was led by juniors Alina Maher and Taylor Brummell. Both went 2-for-3 from the dish, with Brummell driving in two runs while Maher scored one run.

McFarland stepped up to the plate next and laced a double through the left side to send Maher home as the Norse went up 4-1.
