HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's soccer coach Bob Sheehan won his 300th game on Tuesday night, as the Norse defeated Appalachian State 2-1 in overtime. Sheehan ranks in the top 40 in winning percentage for women's soccer coaches across all NCAA divisions, and he is in the top 60 for career victories.

"Appalachian State is an outstanding team," said Sheehan. "I am proud of our players for competing the entire match.  We could have been deflated when we gave up the late goal.  However, our team responded and came out in the overtime period with an attacking mentality.  Emily showed great composure and skill on her penalty kick goal and Ally struck her free kick exceptionally well for the game winner."
