HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's basketball team moved to 3-0 on the season with a 99-59 win over Wabash on Sunday evening.
 
STATS LEADERS
  • Zaynah Robinson led the Norse with 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting. He also added three rebounds, three steals and four assists.
  • Tyler Sharpe chipped in 15 points, five rebounds and five steals for the Norse.
  • Jalen Tate scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds.
  • Trevon Faulkner had 11 points and four rebounds, and Drew McDonald added 10 points and four rebounds.
 
TURNING POINT
  • After falling behind 9-2 early in the contest, the Norse outscored Wabash 56-17 over the rest of the first half to take a 32-point lead into halftime.
 
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
  • NKU got off to a slow start offensively, but went on a 25-0 run midway through the stanza to take a 38-14 lead with 7:40 to play in the period.
  • The Norse closed the half on a 12-0 run, including a buzzer-beating three from Bryant Mocaby, to go ahead 58-26 at halftime.
  • Sharpe led NKU in scoring during the first half with 13. Robinson tallied nine points, four assists and three rebounds, while McDonald and Walton both added eight points.
