HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's basketball team opened the regular season with a 102-38 win over Wilmington on Tuesday evening.

STATS LEADERS

Jalen Tate led the team with 17 points, and he also added eight rebounds.
Drew McDonald just missed out on a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.
Silas Adheke added 10 points and 14 rebounds for his first double-double in an NKU uniform.
Dantez Walton, who narrowly missed a double-double with eight boards, and Adrian Nelson each chipped in 10 points, while Bryant Mocaby and Zaynah Robinson both had nine points.

TURNING POINT

NKU outscored Wilmington 34-8 over the final 12:59 of the first half to put the game well out of reach.

FIRST-HALF SUMMARY

The Norse started the game on an 11-0 run. McDonald and Tate had six and five points during the run, respectively.
