DAYTON, Ohio –  In a matchup of the two top teams in the Horizon League, Wright State held on for a 69-67 victory over Northern Kentucky. The Raiders move to 20-8 overall and 12-3 in the Horizon League. NKU falls to 19-8 and 12-3 in league play.
 
 
STATS LEADERS

• Tyler Sharpe led the Norse with 16 points and five rebounds.
• Lavone Holland II added 15 points, four assists, and two rebounds.
• Drew McDonald picked up his 14^th double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

 
TURNING POINT

• With Wright State leading 68-65 late in the game, Lavone Holland II was fouled with 2.8 seconds left. Holland converted both free throws to get the Norse within one point. However, the Raiders knocked down a free throw, and NKU wasn't able to get another offensive possession.

 
 
FIRST-HALF SUMMARY

• With the score tied 5-5 early in the game, Wright State went on a 6-0 run to take an 11-5 lead. The Raiders were up by as much as seven points in the half.
• The Norse battled back and took their first lead of the game at 4:29, when Sharpe converted three-straight free throws to give NKU a 22-21 lead.
• Wright State took a 32-30 lead into the half.

• Holland was fouled and converted both free throws, but Hall answered with a free throw of his own with just 0.9-seconds on the clock and Wright State was able to hang on to get the 69-67 win.
