DAYTON, Ohio –Northern Kentucky University women's basketball team saw its winning streak come to an end, falling 73-60 on the road to Wright State. With the loss, NKU dips to 8-18 overall and 6-9 in Horizon League play, while the Raiders advance to 19-8 (10-5 HL).
STAT LEADERS
- Taryn Taugher came off the bench to lead the Norse in scoring with 15 points and had a 6-for-6 performance at the free throw line.
- Grace White and Molly Glick were one point off double figures with nine points apiece, with Glick dishing out three assists and nabbing two steals.
- Kailey Coffey added eight points, five rebounds and two steals.
- Mikayla Terry had seven points, four rebounds and three assists.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
- Wright State came out of the gates hot, quickly draining five 3-pointers on six attempts.
- The Raiders used the momentum to hold a 26-11 edge after the first quarter.
- NKU switched gears and shot 56.3 percent from the field while holding WSU to just 17.6 percent in the second quarter, outscoring the Raiders 23-9 to trail by just one point at the half, 35-34.
- Both teams had four turnovers apiece for the lowest combined turnovers in a half this season.
SECOND HALF SUMMARY
- The Raiders shot above 50.0 percent in both the third and fourth quarters, and drained four more 3-pointers to help solidify the lead and pull away.
- The second half featured more turnovers on both sides, with 10 Norse miscues while the Raiders had eight.
- Wright State's Emily Vogelpohl helped her team tremendously in the second half, pouring in 13 points off 3-for-4 shooting from beyond the arc.
NORSE NOTES
- NKU retains the all-time series edge against Wright State, 12-8, but Wright State has won all matchups since the Norse transitioned to Division I.
- Both teams converted well from the field, with NKU shooting 43.1 percent while WSU connected at a .439 clip.
- NKU had a greater paint presence, outscoring the Raiders 30-22 down low. However, the Raiders had the edge from long range with nine made 3-pointers at 50.0 percent.

- NKU hosts Youngstown State in the final home game of the year on Monday, Feb. 19. The game will serve as Senior Night and the Norse will honor Mikayla Terry prior to tip-off, which is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.
