HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball returns to BB&T Arena to host Detroit Mercy in NKU's annual Victor's Hoops 4 Health Day, welcoming more than 3,000 elementary school children for the event. Admission will be free for all in attendance, and tip-off is set for 11 a.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT: The Norse controlled the pace for the first three quarters at Youngstown State, but the Penguins used an offensive burst in the fourth quarter to claim a 77-66 win on Monday afternoon. Kailey Coffey recorded a season-high 19 points in the setback while Taylor Clos poured in 16 points with a 4-for-7 performance from beyond the arc. As a team, the Norse had their fewest turnovers of the season with just eight miscues, marking the first time this year that NKU has kept its turnovers to single digits.

SCOUTING DETROIT MERCY: The Titans are in a three-way tie at the bottom of the Horizon League standings, sitting at 1-6 along with Oakland and UIC. Detroit Mercy's lone win of the league slate was a 42-36 road win at UIC, and the Titans are at a -17.6 scoring margin against league opponents. Lexey Tobel had been leading the Titans at 11.4 points per game, but has not appeared in the past four contests. Since moving to Horizon League opponents, Jess Bicknell has been leading the team in scoring at 10.8 points per game, followed by Brittney Jackson at 9.4 ppg.

Detroit Mercy has been scoring 49.7 points per game against Horizon League foes and allowing 67.3 ppg, and also holds a -13.6 rebounding margin in league action. After losing top 3-point shooters Anja Marinkovic and Nicole Urbanick to graduation, the Titans have been shooting 23.9 percent from long range, including 16.5 percent in league action.

NKU's all-time series against the Titans sits at 4-3 in favor of the Norse. NKU is riding a three-game winning streak, taking down Detroit Mercy at home and on the road before a 76-61 victory in the first round of the 2017 Horizon League Championship on March 3, 2018.
