HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – A pair of double-doubles from
Drew McDonald and
Jalen Tate combined with a strong second-half showing led Northern Kentucky men's basketball team defeated Milwaukee on Saturday evening by a final score of 73-60. The Norse improve to 18-4 overall and 8-1 in the Horizon League. The Panthers fall to 9-13 on the season and 4-5 in league play.
STATS LEADERS
- McDonald recorded his 11th double-double of the season with 30 points and 13 rebounds. He added four assists.
- Tate had his first-career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. His 10 rebounds were a career-high. He also recorded five assists and a steal.
- Dantez Walton chipped in 12 points, six rebounds and four assists.
- Tyler Sharpe also reached double figures with 10 points.
TURNING POINT
- The Norse outscored Milwaukee 18-2 to begin the second half to take a 48-36 lead. NKU led by double digits the rest of the way.
FIRST HALF SUMMARY
