@NKUNorseMSOC falls to Green Bay, 3-2

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team fell to Green Bay, 3-2, at NKU Soccer Stadium on Saturday night.

"We got what we deserved," said head coach Stu Riddle. "It wasn't good enough. You cannot take the lead at home in a big conference game and throw it away. That's exactly what we've done and what we've done when it's mattered at big times this year so it's really disappointing."

NKU SCORING SUMMARY

  • Connor Probert scored an unassisted goal in the 11th minute.
  • Probert fed Greive in the 65th minute to give the Norse their second goal of the night.

BETWEEN THE POSTS

  • Baj Maan made three saves, faced nine shots and allowed three goals.

  • Probert gave the Norse an early 1-0 lead in the 11th minute when he directed a free kick into the top-right corner of the goal.

  • The Phoenix started the second half aggressively and it paid off; Michael Carreon passed the ball over to Clay Brown, who scored the ball in the 54th minute.
  • The game soon turned into a foul-frenzy from there. Green Bay's Brian Vang received a yellow card in the 57th minute.
  • The Phoenix tacked on their third goal in the 59th minute thanks to Marcus Del Vecchio.
  • Green Bay's Carreon received a yellow card in the 64th minute.
