HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team was bested, 5-2, by Oral Roberts on Tuesday night at NKU Soccer Stadium.
"For the third time out of our last four matches, we've out-possessed and outshot our opponent but managed to lose the game," said head coach Stu Riddle. "We continue to be punished for individual errors and that needs to be put right ahead of this weekend."
NKU SCORING SUMMARY
	- Alex Greive found the net in the 65th minute with an assist from Alex Willis.

	- Willis gave the Norse their second goal less than a minute later. Ali Zohar had the assist.

BETWEEN THE POSTS
	- Baj Maan made four saves, faced 12 shots and allowed all five goals.

MATCH SUMMARY
	- Oral Roberts scored in a hurry to open up the match, putting NKU down, 3-0, in just over nine minutes of action.

	- Despite giving up a trio of early goals, NKU was in much better shape for the rest of the first half. The Norse were nearly equal in the possession battle and had no problem reaching the final third.

	- Alex Greive had the only shot on goal in the first half for NKU in the 17th minute.

	- NKU's offense looked better in the opening 15 minutes of the second half. The Norse drew a plethora of fouls to generate free kick opportunities and forced a pair of corner kicks.

	- Things finally worked out for NKU in the 65th minute where both Greive and Willis netted goals. Willis found Greive at the beginning of the minute, who spin-moved by ORU defenders before sending a shot into the upper-portion of the net. Willis then brought the game within one score off a free kick from Zohar.

	- The Golden Eagles took full control of the game shortly after NKU's goals, scoring in the 66th and 68th minutes.

	- The Norse found more shot opportunities, but like most of the night, could not find space in the final third to turn them into legitimate scoring chances to close the deficit.

NORSE NOTES
	- Tonight's goal by Greive is his 10th of the season. The junior has scored in five of the last seven games.

	- Zohar's assist is the first of his career.

	- Willis' goal is his first since having goals in back-to-back games against Niagara and Canisius.

UP NEXT
	- The Norse take a trip up North to play Milwaukee on Saturday for an 8:00 p.m. matchup.
