@NKUNorseMBB defeats Midway, 86-56, behind Harris’ double-double

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. Karl Harris led Northern Kentucky to an 86-56 victory over visiting Midway on Monday night with his first career double-double. The win elevates NKU's record to 5-2, while Midway slips to 3-6.
 
Stats Leaders
  • Harris finished with a game-high 21 points and 10 rebounds for the double-double.
  • Bryson Langdon scored 17 points, including 15 in the first half. He made 7-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-4 from 3-point range.
  • Adham Eleeda chipped in a career-best 12 points.
 
Turning Point
  • Leading 20-11, Northern Kentucky scored nine of the next 11 points to pull ahead by 16 with 8:49 left in the opening stanza. NKU led by double digits the rest of the way.
 
First Half Summary
  • Langdon set the tone early for NKU, scoring 15 points in the opening stanza thanks to 6-for-7 shooting. He also had four of the team's seven assists.

  • The Norse, who entered the game allowing opponents to convert only 28 percent from long range, held true to form. The Eagles were limited to 2-of-15 (13 percent) from deep.
  • NKU finished the contest shooting 53 percent (16-of-33) and 33 percent from three. Midway was held to 43 percent  (25-of-58) from the floor.
  • Northern Kentucky won the battle of the boards, 43-30, and outscored Midway, 15-6, in second-chance points.
