INDIANAPOLIS – The Horizon League announced its honor roll for the Spring 2019 semester, with 110 Northern Kentucky student-athletes earning distinction. The Norse are fourth in the league in student-athletes honored, with representation in 17 of the 19 sports that the Horizon League sponsors.
 
This past semester, Northern Kentucky's student athletes recorded a 3.39 grade point average. Coupled with a department-record 3.47 GPA in the Fall 2018 semester, the athletic department posted a new high-water mark of a 3.43 average GPA for the 2018-19 academic year. Every team finished with a cumulative GPA above a 3.09, with seven higher than a 3.5 grade point average. Additionally, 25 Norse earned a perfect 4.0 GPA. Overall, 81 percent of NKU's student-athletes finished with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
 
Candidates for the Horizon League Honor Roll must have completed at least three semesters as a full-time student at the institution, have participated in the most recent or current season of their sport, and hold at least a 3.20 grade point average on a 4.00 scale.
