NKU Athletics and Meijer Renew Partnership with Enhanced Focus on Community Impact

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - Northern Kentucky Athletics and Meijer, a leading Midwest retailer and dedicated community partner, announced today a multi-year extension of their longstanding relationship, continuing a shared commitment to support student-athletes, engage fans, and serve the Northern Kentucky community.

The renewed partnership introduces "Threes for Hunger", a new philanthropic initiative designed to support the greater Northern Kentucky region. Through the program, Meijer will make a donation to Master Provisions, a local food pantry located in Independence, KY, for every three-point basket made by the NKU Men's Basketball team during the season.

"At Meijer, supporting the communities we serve is at the heart of everything we do," said Melissa Conway, Director of Community Partnerships & Giving at Meijer. "We're proud to strengthen our partnership with Northern Kentucky Athletics through initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for local families and organizations, resulting in making a lasting impact throughout the region."

Since 2021, Meijer and NKU Athletics have built a strong foundation rooted in philanthropic impact, meaningful connection, and a shared vision for growth. The renewed agreement reflects their continued commitment to the Northern Kentucky community, the future of Norse Athletics, and the success of its student athletes.

"As we look to the future of Norse Athletics, we are excited to continue our partnership with Meijer," said J.T. Torbeck, General Manager, NKU Norse Sport Properties. "Together we will advance initiatives that create meaningful impact throughout the Northern Kentucky community."

The partnership was facilitated by NKU Norse Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield, who is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Northern Kentucky Athletics and oversees all sponsorship efforts on behalf of the Norse.
