@NKUNorseMSOC triumphs over Wright State, 2-1

DAYTON, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's soccer team brought home their first win of Horizon League play, besting Wright State, 2-1, at Alumni Field.

"We've been on the wrong end of some unfortunate results so far this season and this was a very well-deserved win against the reigning regular-season champions," said head coach Stu Riddle. "We know we can compete with anyone in this league and look forward to our next match against UIC."

  • Stian Jørgensen found the goal in the 49th minute with an assist from Rikard Lindqvist.
  • Alex Grieve had the game-winner in the 77th minute.
