HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball team has already secured its spot as one of four teams in the semifinals of the Horizon League Championship on March 9 in Indianapolis, but one more regular-season game exists. Only the season-finale on Friday, February 28, at BB&T Arena against Wright State awaits with the possibility of sharing the Horizon League Regular-Season Championship on the line. Tip-off for the nationally-televised ESPNU broadcast is 7 p.m.
Tickets
Tickets can be purchased online in advance for $14 via Ticketmaster.
The season finale also features two ticket promotions available through the Alice Sparks Box Office at BB&T Arena. The Food Friday ticket promo includes a ticket and $5 concession-stand food-voucher (not available for use on the purchase of alcohol) for $14. Just mention "Food Friday" when purchasing at the box office. Additionally, it is Kenton County night. With proof of residence, Kenton County residents can purchase a $9 ticket.
Wearing White
As the Northern Kentucky men's basketball team traditionally wear white for its home games, the regular-season finale will be no different. Fans are encouraged to join the team and wear white to the game.
The first 2,000 fans will receive a white Northern Kentucky basketball t-shirt. Sizes range from small to extra-large in both men's and women's styles. Shirts and sizes are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Lastly, the first 1,000 fans will receive a white NKU water bottle.
Student Promotions
Friday marks the final #1K41K promotion where one lucky student will win $1,000 dollars if 1,000 students are in attendance. Students must check in at the entrance with their all-card to be counted and eligible for the prize. The first 1,000 students will also receive a rally towel. Additionally, there's an official student tailgate.
Senior Day
Northern Kentucky will honor three seniors for their time as Norse in a pregame ceremony: graduate wing Karl Harris, senior guard Tyler Sharpe and senior forward Dantez Walton.
Reverse Penny Wars
In an effort organized by the Student Government Associations at NKU and WSU, the two organizations are sponsoring a friendly Reverse Penny War throughout the week. Points are awarded for silver and paper, but any pennies donated are subracted from the total. For more information, please see the official press release.
Regular-Season Attendance Record
Help Northern Kentucky University set a regular-season single-game attendance record at BB&T Arena. The current mark of 6,792 was set on Feb. 9, 2019, versus Oakland. The all-time record for a Norse game was the men's basketball exhibition versus Louisville on Nov. 8, 2008, which served as the first-ever basketball game in the arena, where 8,408 fans were in attendance.
