th career victory with a sweep (25-17, 25-16, 25-13) of Cleveland State courtesy of 13 total blocks in the match. The Norse have now won six contests in a row and are 11-6 on the year, including a 7-1 Horizon League mark. The Vikings slide to 6-15 overall and 4-6 in league play.
STATS LEADERS
- Anna Brinkmann led all players with 13 kills, while also chipping in eight digs, two aces and two block assists. She hit .545 in the match.
- A day after registering her 2,000th-career assist in a near triple-double performance, Miranda Wucher added another 18 assists and career-high six block assists.
- Abby Kanakry terminated 10 attacks behind .438 hitting, while adding five block assists.
- Reilly Briggs provided the Norse with a third player with double-figure kills, contributing 10 as well. She also racked up a trio of block assists.
- Sequoia Hunt led the block party with eight stuffs, a new highwater mark in her young career. The freshman middle blocker added three kills on just five attempts.
- Natalie Hardig also posted multiple block assists with three.
- Anna Burke secured a team-high nine scoops in the match.
FIRST SET SUMMARY
- Kanakry registered six kills to lead a Norse offense that registered 15 terminations en route to a 25-17 decision.
- Brinkmann, Briggs and Hunt added three kills apiece as the Norse hit .323 in the set.
- On defense, NKU held CSU to .000 attack percent and had four blocks, led by Hunt's four block assists.
- Brinkmann and Burke contributed five and four digs, respectively, while Wucherer distributed eight assists.
SECOND SET SUMMARY
- Tied at 11, Northern Kentucky called timeout and responded by winning eight of the next 10 points before going on to a 25-16 win.
- The Norse offense continued to hum along with another 14 kills behind a .355 hitting percent.
- Kanakry and Wucherer led NKU's defense with two block assists each, as the team added three total blocks and limited CSU to 10 kills with six errors.

- Cleveland State led 3-2 in the early going, but Northern Kentucky then reeled off a9-3 run to force a Vikings timeout.
- NKU's net defense proved too tough in the set, as six Norse registered at least one block assist and the team registered seven total blocks on its way to a 25-13 win.
- Kanakry, Hunt and Hardig notched three block assists, while Brinkmann and Wucherer added two and Briggs one.
- Thanks to the stout net play by the Norse, the Vikings hit negative-.040 in the set.

- Coach Hart's first career victory came in her first match as head coach, as the Norse defeated Georgetown (Ky.) on Sept. 21, 2010. Her 100th win came on Nov. 12, 2015 against Jackson State.
- Hart's career record as head coach now sits at 200-127, good for a .612 winning percentage.
- Northern Kentucky finished the match with a 14-4 advantage in blocks, recording three in each of the first two sets before securing seven in the final frame alone. NKU entered the match averaging 2.20 blocks per set on the season and 2.77 in league play. After averaging 4.67 blocks per set today, the Norse are now up to 2.34 bps in all matches and 3.00 against league opposition.
- Hunt has been a catalyst in Northern Kentucky's blocking surge, averaging 2.15 bps over the last four matches.
- NKU finished the contest with 40 kills and just 10 errors. All four Norse with multiple kills hit over .333 to help the team post a .361 attack percentage for the match.
- With Cleveland State's .036 attack percentage today, Northern Kentucky has now held three-straight opponents to a percentage below .100.
