Alundis Pledge hired as NKU’s assistant athletic director for marketing and promotions

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky deputy director of athletics Dan McIver announces the hiring of Alundis Pledge as NKU's assistant athletic director for marketing and promotions. He will begin in the role on Nov. 10.
 
"We are excited to have Alundis join our staff and lead our marketing and promotion area," said Dan McIver, deputy athletic director. "Throughout the process, Alundis stood out as someone with high energy, who is also innovative and collaborative.  His prior experiences at the collegiate and professional sport levels will be extremely valuable as we look to continue the growth of our marketing efforts. Fan engagement and increase in attendance are high priorities for our department, and I am confident that Alundis will make a huge impact in these areas."
 
Pledge will have direct oversight of the athletic marketing and promotions for all 17 Norse Athletics programs, placing an emphasis game production and building atmosphere surrounding NKU athletic events. He will be a member of the Norse Athletics Senior Leadership Team as well.
 
"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join NKU to lead and continue developing the Norse marketing and promotional efforts," stated Pledge, "Director of Athletics [Ken] Bothof's vision and the athletic department's success in recent years is a testament to the upward trajectory of NKU athletics and I'm honored I get to be a part of it. I can't wait to see each of you in attendance to support our NKU Norse as we foster innovative ideas, authentic connections, and engaging entertainment in college athletics.
 
Pledge most recently served as a McLendon Leadership Initiative Future Leader within the University of Missouri Athletics Department and brings more than five years of experience that includes positions with the Memphis Grizzlies, University of Memphis, University of Oregon, Texas A&M and Ole Miss. The breadth of his experience includes building and implementing marketing plans, fan engagement, sponsorship activation at events, and both ticket renewals and sales.
