Road test at Saint Louis next up for @NKUNorseWBB

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball will hit the road this weekend as the Norse travels to Missouri to take on Saint Louis University in a nonconference matchup. This game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 11 with tip-off scheduled for 8:30 p.m. (ET) / 7:30 p.m. (CT).

Fast Break Points 
• Grayson Rose continues to climb the charts in the NKU history books, as she currently ranks 14th all-time in career rebounds, 18th all-time in games played, and tied for second in blocked shots average.  Rose jumped to second all-time in career blocked shots earlier this season as well.
• Rose ranks fifth in the nation in total blocks with 27. She also ranks eighth in the country in blocks per game at 3.00.
• Rose has also been a force on the glass this season, ranking 28th in the nation in total rebounds with 91. She ranks 28th overall in rebounds per game with at 10.1 as well.
• Rose currently leads the Horizon League in rebounding with 10.9 boards per game, and ranks first in the conference in total rebounds with 87 total. She additionally leads the League in total blocked shots with 25 this season.
• Lindsey Duvall currently ranks fourth overall in the Horizon League in scoring average with 17.9 points per game. Duvall is second in the conference in total points with 161 this season, and is tied for first in total field goals made with 52.
• Duvall kept her double-digit scoring streak alive while in a Norse uniform, totaling 12 points in the win over Kentucky State on Wednesday. Her streak of scoring in double-figures with Northern Kentucky is now up to 28 games.  
• Ivy Turner was named the Nike Horizon League Player of the Week during the week of Nov. 20-28.
• Duvall and Turner each received conference accolades with Duvall earning Horizon League Preseason All-League First Team and Turner getting an All-League Second Team nod.
• Kailee Davis made her presence known in just her third game played with NKU, as the freshman scored eight total points, including knocking down two crucial three-pointers against Purdue Fort Wayne.
• Northern Kentucky is off to its best start at 6-3 since the 2015-16 season when the Norse began the year 8-2 overall.
• The Norse were picked to finish fourth in the 2021-22 Horizon League Preseason Coaches Poll.
• The Norse finished the 2020-21 season eighth overall in the Horizon League. NKU defeated Robert Morris in the first round of the conference tournament before falling to rival and number one seed Wright State in the quarterfinals.

Last Time Out
Northern Kentucky is coming off a 72-51 home victory against Kentucky State. These two programs competed Wednesday of this week inside BB&T Arena with the Norse coming out on top. NKU was spreading the wealth in the win over the Thorobreds as 14 total Norse saw action in this nonconference tilt, along with 11 total players finding the scoring column.
 
Scouting Saint Louis
The Billikens enter the weekend after dropping a nonconference contest on the road to Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville by a final score of 63-57. Leading Saint Louis this season offensively is Ciaja Harbison who is averaging 15.8 points per game. Another crucial contributor to SLU has been Brooke Flowers, who in eight total games is averaging a double-double with 12.3 rebounds per game and 11.3 ppg. 
 
Series Stuff
The Norse and the Billikens have only met once prior to Saturday's matchup, back on November 12, 2019 in Highland Heights where Saint Louis downed Northern Kentucky by a final score of 67-42.
