Cincinnati, Ohio – Northern Kentucky women's tennis claimed its first conference match against Milwaukee, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.  The Norse climb to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in Horizon League play, and the Panthers fall to 7-5 in all matches, including 0-3 against league opposition.

Match Notables  

• In doubles play, Margita Sunjic and Hannah Watton (No. 3) finished first but fell to their opponents, 2-6.
• However, Ananya Kothakota and Elizabeth Rozin were able to secure the first match win for the Norse, 7-5. Maria Koo and Laura Grau followed suit by beating their opponents with the same final score.
• Sylvia Gray (No. 6) shut out her opponent by identical 6-0 scores to start the day.
• Ananya Kothakota (No. 4) fell, 6-0, 6-2, to Anna Fuentes to follow the first matchup and give Milwaukee its only point.
• Margita Sunjic (No. 1) was able to clinch the next point, beating her opponent 6-4, 6-4, and Maria Koo (No. 2) following with a 6-2, 6-2 win to secure the team victory for the Norse.
• Elizabeth Rozin and Laura Grau both had competitive wins for the day. Rozin (No. 3) beat her opponent 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (6) and Grau (No. 5) finished the Norse's singles play 7-5, 6-3.

The Norse head to Five Seasons Cincinnati on Sunday to close out the weekend's matchups against the Panthers. First serve is at 1 p.m.
