LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Northern Kentucky fell on the road Tuesday night against No. 25 Louisville, seeing the Norse drop to 3-4 overall, and Louisville improving to 5-2.

- Detre Bell (5-2-0) of Louisville picked up the victory in goal, totaling one save, facing three shots in the first half of play.
- Gavin Krenecki subbed in for Bell to start the second half and would total two saves along with facing eight total shots.
- Daniel Bermingham (3-4-0) finished the evening with four total saves and faced 15 overall shots against the nationally ranked Cardinals.
- Josiah Pokopac subbed on for the Norse to begin the second half and ended the match with three total saves after facing 11 shots.
Match Summary
- The first shot of the contest came from the Cardinals' Sander Roed within the opening minute and would be the first goal for Louisville as well.
- The Cardinals added to their lead in the 6' minute as the fourth shot from Louisville found the back of the net once again for the 2-0 lead.
- NKU saw its' first shot of the match early on as well in the 9' minute as Sam Robinson looked to get one past the Louisville keeper Bell but was saved.
- Jesse Randall provided the next scoring attempt for the Norse in the 26th minute but when wide to the right.
- Louisville scored goal number three in the 43rd minute and was by Ugo Achara.
- Dylan Bufton ripped another NKU shot late in the opening half in the 44th minute that ultimately went left.
- The Norse opened the second half strong with an early shot on goal to the lower right part of the net from Deryn Armstrong, but was saved by Bell once again.
- Louisville's fourth goal was netted by Aboubacar Camara in the 65th minute.
- Bufton recorded shot number two in the 69th minute that was on target once again yet was saved by the Louisville goalkeeper, Gavin Krenecki.
- Randall fired off another shot late into the match in the 79th minute that would miss over the goal.
- Armstrong added his second shot of the evening that would be just off goal to the left of the net in the 81st minute.
- Randall recorded his third shot of the match in the 82nd minute for the Norse.
- Armstrong ended the match with his final attack on goal in the 89th minute to total five overall shots on the night.
Norse Notes
- Deryn Armstrong posted a season-high five shots tonight.
- The Norse were much more aggressive in the second half tonight, totaling eight shots compared to three in the first.
- Louisville out-shot the Norse 20-6 overall in this match.
- NKU is now 4-7 overall against Louisville in the all-time series.
