NORSE Breakdown
• Northern Kentucky looks to keep its seven-game winning streak alive this week, as the Norse will host rival and conference adversary Wright State inside BB&T Arena on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 7 p.m.
• NKU picked up two more Horizon League victories last week, first defeating Detroit Mercy on the road 74-54, and then downing Oakland in Rochester, Michigan, 79-67.

Kailee Davis was selected as the of the Nike® Horizon League Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the week of Jan. 10 - Jan. 16 after helping the Norse secure back-to-back conference road wins.
• Davis started off the week with a bang, as the Detroit native returned home to post a career-high 14 points in the 74-54 win over the UDM Titans.

Lindsey Duvall kept her double-digit scoring streak alive while in a Norse uniform, totaling 16 points against Oakland. Her streak of scoring in double-figures with Northern Kentucky is now at 33 straight games.

Ivy Turner posted her 12th overall game of scoring in double-digits this season with a game-high 17 points in the road win over Oakland.

Grayson Rose currently leads the Horizon League in rebounding with 10.5 boards per game, and leads in the conference in total rebounds with 147. She additionally leads the League in total blocked shots with 40 this season.
• Duvall currently ranks second overall in the Horizon League in scoring average with 19.4 points per game. Duvall is first in the conference in total points with 272. She also leads the league in three-pointers made with 34, and in total minutes at 492 this season.
• Rose ranks tied for 10th in the nation in total blocks with 40. She also ranks 11th in the country in blocks per game at 2.85. She has also been a force on the glass this season, ranking 74th in the nation in total rebounds with 131. She ranks 33rd overall in rebounds per game with at 10.1as well.
• Rose continues to climb the charts in the NKU history books, as she currently ranks 13th all-time in career rebounds (716), tied for 12th all-time in games played (122) and tied for second in blocked shots average (1.2). Rose jumped to second all-time in career blocked shots earlier this season as well.
• Turner was named the Nike Horizon League Player of the Week during the week of Nov. 20-28.
• Duvall was named the Nike Horizon League Player of the Week during the week of Dec. 6-12 and during the week for Dec. 27-Jan. 2.
• Duvall and Turner each received conference accolades with Duvall earning Horizon League Preseason All-League First Team and Turner getting an All-League Second Team nod.
• The Norse were picked to finish fourth in the 2021-22 Horizon League Preseason Coaches Poll.
• The Norse finished the 2020-21 season eighth overall in the Horizon League. NKU defeated Robert Morris in the first round of the conference tournament before falling to rival and number one seed Wright State in the quarterfinals.
Last Time Out
Northern Kentucky picked up its seventh straight victory after defeating Oakland in Rochester, Michigan, 79-67. NKU was led by Turner who posted a game-high 17 points, shooting 6-for-11 from the floor. She added seven assists, five rebounds and three steal to her stat sheet. Rose dominated the paint once again, pulling down 17 rebounds, and totaling three blocks. She totaled seven points points in the winning effort as well. Duvall finished the game with 16 points, continuing her streak of scoring in double-digits in a Norse uniform, which is now up to 33-consecutive games.
Scouting the Raiders
Wright State enters this rivalry week after splitting the previous road trip, falling to Oakland 62-51 and defeating Detroit Mercy 72-56. This was WSU's second win on the year, the first was against Lake Erie, 91-60. Leading the Raider offense this season has been Destyne Jackson and Jada Roberson. Jackson leads WSU with 13.6 points per game, and Roberson is the teams only other double-figure scorer at 12.8 ppg. Jada Wright leads the program in rebounds at 7.0 per contest as well. Wright State ranks sixth overall in the Horizon League in total offense, averaging 62.3 points per game. Defensively the Raiders rank last in the conference, allowing 68.5 points per contest.
Series Stuff
The Norse have struggled lately against their rival Wright State, as the Raiders currently hold a 14-game winning streak over NKU. The last time Northern Kentucky defeated Wright State was during the 1986-87 season, where the Norse topped WSU 73-63. Wright State leads the overall series 15-12, as NKU dominated the series early in this rivalry, going 12-1 against the Raiders for six seasons.
