DAYTON, Ohio – Northern Kentucky men's soccer was downed in Horizon League action Saturday afternoon by the Phoenix of Green Bay from Scudamore Field at NKU Soccer Stadium.
Northern Kentucky (3-6-1, 1-2-0 Horizon) was knotted up with Green Bay (4-2-3, 1-1-1 Horizon) through the opening half of play at 0-0 overall. The Norse and Phoenix were deadlocked in total shots as well through one half with three each. Green Bay however found their rhythm in the second half, netting two goals in the 46' and 80' minute to secure the 2-0 victory over NKU.

Northern Kentucky begins a three-game road stretch beginning Wednesday, Oct. 5 as the Norse head north to Columbus, Ohio to face the Buckeyes of Ohio State. This midweek nonconference bout is scheduled for a 7 p.m. kickoff and will be broadcasted on BigTen Network+.
